How can I sign up for lessons or become a member? You can send email to firstname.lastname@example.org anytime or you can call (413) 442-7769 during the rowing season, generally May-October.
How can I rent a boat? Once you’ve been cleared by a coach and have registered for a membership, you can sign up to take a boat on RegattaCentral. If you need help with this, don’t hesitate to email email@example.com. You should sign up before 5 PM on the day before your row so we can plan accordingly. Arrive at the boathouse about ten minutes prior to your rowing time. (Rowers’ truism: to be early is to be on time; to be on time is to be late.)
How can I cancel a reservation? If cancelling your reservation before 7 PM the evening before your row, all you need to do is remove your name from RegattaCentral. If later than 7 PM the evening before your row, please call the boathouse at (413) 442-7769 and leave a message. Additionally, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What kind of weather prevents rowing? Heavy fog, wind of upwards of 10 mph, and thunderstorms prevent rowing. On choppy days, staff may limit rowing to team boats only.
What happens if the weather is not ideal for rowing? We encourage all members sign up for a program called Remind. If the staff decides rowing conditions are prohibitive of going out, they’ll send out a Remind which you’d receive indicating that rowing will be delayed or cancelled. So, if in doubt, check your messages before heading out.
